Strong values and vision<\/h1>\n

It was announced in December 2023 that the international cycling union, UCI, has granted the Danish Cycling Union (DCU) a race license to hold the Copenhagen Sprint for a preliminary period of three years \u2013 2025, 2026 and 2027.<\/p>\n

Behind the cycling race is a national partnership consisting of the Municipality of Copenhagen, Roskilde Municipality, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Business and Industry, Sport Event Denmark, Wonderful Copenhagen and the Danish Cycling Union. DCU has established an event company that will be responsible for planning and running the race.<\/p>\n

VISION<\/strong>
Our goal is to create an iconic cycling event that becomes a global reference point for both professional cycling and public participation.<\/p>\n

We are establishing an open and inclusive event that strengthens community and popular appeal, while celebrating the unique Danish cycling culture. We aim for financial independence, while promoting social sustainability and innovation.<\/p>\n

Our vision for the overall event is to engage local communities, including local associations and volunteers, enhance public health, and set new standards for how major sporting events can positively contribute to society.<\/p>\n

MISSION<\/strong>
Our mission is to organize a world-class professional cycling race that bridges the gap between the sport and local communities. By combining sport with public activities such as fun rides and a cycling festival, we aim to create an environment for broad participation that promotes health and sustainability. We will continuously strengthen our collaboration with partners and stakeholders to ensure economic stability, innovation, and a dynamic cycling culture that reaches both the audience and participants on the course.<\/p>\n

Our ambition is to be a race that inspires both participants, spectators, and partners to see cycling as a platform for positive social change and global visibility.<\/p>\n
