About Copenhagen Sprint
Copenhagen Sprint is a World Tour cycling race that consists of two professional races: an elite cycling race for women’s and men’s riders. In 2026, the women’s race will be held on Saturday 13 June and the men’s race on Sunday 14 June.
The race starts in Roskilde, moves through scenic North Zealand and ends with an 11 km circuit in the streets of Copenhagen with a final stretch in front of the National Gallery of Denmark.
In 2026, the race will be held for the second time, and last year there were no less than 250,000 spectators along the route. It is our ambition to create a new classic among the major international cycling races, where we attract the world’s best cyclists and sprinters.
Around the race, we create a public festival and a folk bike race and a festival where everyone is invited. The bike race should be an opportunity for us to create even more awareness of cycling and cycling in general.
Behind Copenhagen Sprint is a national group of partners consisting of the City of Copenhagen, Roskilde Municipality, the state, Sport Event Denmark, Wonderful Copenhagen, the Danish Cycling Union and the Copenhagen Sprint event company, which is responsible for the planning and execution of the race.
