On Sunday 22 June, the area in front of Den Frie will be transformed into the city’s cosiest pop-up bar when we mark the start of Copenhagen Sprint, which brings together the whole city about cycling, culture and community.
We offer cold draft beers, light snacks and good drinks under the open sky – with room for both cycling fans, passers-by and guests who want to make a stop and enjoy the atmosphere with the city’s best view of both art and asphalt. Den Frie is located in a sweet spot on the route and on the occasion there will be free admission all day.
Come and cheer, hang out and toast to the city’s cycling life!
We look forward to welcoming you!
About the Free
Den Frie is an exhibition space for leading contemporary art rooted in a collective tradition. With roots in the cooperative movement’s community idea, Den Frie has since its foundation in 1891 functioned as a living forum for free and experimental contemporary art. The zeitgeist has been challenged, breakthroughs have been cultivated and countless artists have pushed the boundaries of how art can be unfolded and experienced with rebellious enthusiasm. Den Frie is housed in the iconic woodwork building opposite Østerport Station in Copenhagen. The façade is adorned with a golden relief of Pegasus with a young man on his back – a timeless symbol of poetic power and artistic inspiration. Read more about Den Frie here.
