National coach Michael Mørkøv has now named the riders who will represent Denmark on June 22.
The Danish national team consists of:

Kasper Asgreen (EF Education – EasyPost)
Casper Pedersen (Soudal Quick-Step)
Rasmus Søjberg Pedersen (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale)
Alexander Salby (Li Ning Star)
Niklas Larsen (BHS – PL Beton Bornholm)
Joshua Gudnitz (Team ColoQuick)
Mads Andersen (AirTox – Carl Ras)

“We have a versatile and balanced team, and we want to make our mark on the race from start to finish,” says Michael Mørkøv, who has now selected the last four riders for the team. Previously, Kasper Asgreen, Casper Pedersen and Rasmus Søjberg Pedersen’s participation was announced.

When it comes to selecting riders for the national team in a World Tour race such as Copenhagen Sprint, it happens among riders where their own teams are not on the start list. Therefore, this time it has become a combination of Danish professional riders, whose teams do not participate, as well as riders from continental teams, who get the opportunity to show off in the highest ranked race on Danish soil.

An important development for Danish cycling
Copenhagen Sprint is a new World Tour race for both women and men, which in its first edition brings together some of the world’s strongest cycling teams. The route goes from Roskilde to Copenhagen with the end of a crowd-friendly circuit in the middle of the capital. The women will race on Saturday 21 June, and the men will race on Sunday June 22.

The Danish Cycling Union’s chairman Morten Anderson sees Copenhagen Sprint as a big step in the development of Danish cycling:

“It is a very big step in the continuous development of the domestic cycling sport that we now have a Danish World Tour race on the calendar. Copenhagen Sprint also stands as a very visible sign that cycling has really become a popular sport in Denmark – with great support from our partners, a unique and enthusiastic audience and, not least, a strong cycling community across the country. And then we are very grateful for the political support for the sport.”
