Accesibility

We want all guests to feel welcome and have the opportunity to experience Copenhagen Sprint. Therefore, we are continuously working to introduce new initiatives to increase accessibility.

Copenhagen Sprint’s cycling festival in Østre Anlæg takes place in the park on gravel paths and lawn. The cycling festival is free for all participants. Service dogs are welcome.

You can arrive at the cycling festival by public transport via Østerport Station (distance 1.5 km) or Nørreport Station (800m) of Øster Voldgade, where you can use pavements and cycle paths.

There is a disabled toilet in the cycling festival.

It is possible to enjoy your own food on the bike festival grounds.

Quiet zone at Østre Anlæg – A sanctuary during Copenhagen Sprint

In the middle of the festivities at Copenhagen Sprint, we invite you inside our quiet zone at Østre Anlæg – a calm and inclusive free space where you can breathe and find your balance.

In collaboration with Ateam, a volunteer community for people with autism and ADHD, we have created a safe environment for everyone who needs a break from the day’s many impressions and the lively atmosphere.

No matter who you are, you are warmly welcome in our tent – a Safe Space where calm, understanding and presence are at the center. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

In the Quiet Zone, we offer, among other things:

  • Weighted vest – provides a calming and reassuring sensation that can help reduce stress.
  • Fidget spinners and sensory stitches – help channel uneasiness and keep hands occupied.
  • Sound-cancelling headphones – dampens noise and creates a more secluded space.

We know how much of a difference it can make to have a place where you feel welcome and met with understanding. Our volunteers are ready to welcome you and ensure that you have a quiet and pleasant stay.

Make your experience of Copenhagen Sprint even better – and come to Ateam if you need to rest your senses.

Wheelchair stands

If you are in a wheelchair and the bicycle fence along the circuit limits your view, try one of our wheelchair stands. Here, wheelchair users and their relatives can stand slightly elevated and very close to the riders.

We are establishing wheelchair stands on H.C. Andersens Boulevard right by Vesterbro Passage / Espresso House and on Sølvtorvet off Stockholmsgade.

Disabled parking

Extraordinary disabled parking has been established on Stockholmsgade between Upsalagade and Sølvtorvet. There are 10 places on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sunflower lanyard at festival

At the cycling festival in Østre Anlæg, you will also find a stand for the Sunflower lanyard, which is a symbol of invisible disabilities.

Here you will meet hosts wearing sunflower lanyards – they themselves have experience with invisible disabilities and are ready to inform you about what it entails. The hosts can help with questions about special needs and provide guidance so that everyone at Copenhagen Sprint has a good experience.

The purpose of the stand is not only to create awareness, but also to collect experiences and feedback from you festival participants. In this way, we can work in the coming years to make Copenhagen Sprint even more accessible and inclusive for everyone.

If you have special needs or questions regarding your participation, you are very welcome to contact us in advance so that we can ensure the best possible experience – Contact us by email here
