Traffic info
Copenhagen Sprint is held over two days; On Saturday 21 June 2025 the women will race and Sunday 22 June 2025 the men will run.
The route starts in Roskilde at the Viking Museum and goes north to Frederikssund, through Hillerød at Frederiksborg Castle and past Fredensborg out to Louisiana at Humlebæk and then down past Furesøen through Ballerup. So the route comes into Copenhagen from the west and the finish line is at the National Gallery of Denmark in Copenhagen
The roads on the route and the side roads leading up to the route will be closed approx. 60 minutes before the peloton arrives. Traffic will be opened immediately after the peloton and the support cars have passed.
In Copenhagen, traffic will be extra affected as a circular route is closed from Saturday morning to Sunday evening.
We recommend the following to road users and citizens:
- Avoid using the route as a driver.
- When using buses and other public transport, you must check the Itinerary before departure.
- Seek up-to-date traffic information in the days before you leave and plan your trip before you head out. For example, check the current traffic situation on trafikinfo.dk and www.vejdirektoratet.dk
- Listen to the radio and get reports about the traffic situation from DR P4 Trafik while you drive.
- Plan your trip if you’re going to see bike races – and use the bike if possible.
- The highways are open all day.
