The route starts in Roskilde at Stændertorvet and goes north to Frederikssund, through Hillerød and Fredensborg and then down past Furesøen through Ballerup. We recommend the following to road users and citizens:
- Do not park on the route.
- Check Rejseplanen if you are going to travel by public transport.
- Check current traffic information before you leave and plan your trip before you head out.
- Listen to the radio and get reports about the traffic situation from DR P4 Traffic while you drive.
- Plan your trip if you’re going to see bike races – and use the bike or metro if possible.
- Take advantage of the motorways, which are open all weekend.
PARKING
There will be a parking ban during the time the route is closed to traffic. Pay attention to signage. Remember to move your car if it is on the route – otherwise it will be removed by the police.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Buses
In connection with the bike race, there will be temporary changes in bus traffic. Some buses will be held back in traffic locks, which may cause delays. In addition, some departures may be cancelled and some bus routes may be rescheduled. Make sure to set aside extra time and plan your trip well in advance.
