The 6 quick

Take the garbage

We set up waste containers at the start, finish and along the route – use them!
Is it far to the next bin? So:

  • TIP: Bring a bag from home for your waste
  • Remember to sort the waste correctly
Drink tap water

Water stations with fresh tap water are available at the start and finish.

  • Tap water – it saves both money and the environment!
  • TIP: Bring your own water bottle
Take the bike, train or bus

Leave the car and come to the event in a green way:

  • Use a bike, train or bus – or carpool with others
  • DOT offers a special Copenhagen Sprint ticket
  • TIP: Remember your bike helmet – and check rejseplanen.dk and trafikinfo.dk for updated info
Hey – hep – hep!

Show the riders that you are there:

  • Clap, shout, sing, dance!
  • TIP: Get out your funniest summer hat – and be kind to riders, volunteers and fellow spectators (even when it’s crowded!)
Plan your trip

Plan where on the route you want to see the riders, and preferably be there well in advance so that you get the full experience when the peloton whizzes by.

You can see the route and the estimated times here.

Copenhagen Sprint offers much more than bike races, and you can get an overview of side activities in the festival zone, cheering zones or along the route in our event calendar by clicking here.

The green sprint

Copenhagen Sprint works actively to be a green event. Together with our partners, we have these goals:

  • Promote cycling as a sport and mode of transport
  • Inspire green mobility and sustainable choices
  • Minimize the CO2 footprint of the event
  • Leading the way for a greener sports sector

Examples of green initiatives:

  • Toilets from Gear Up Green that use only 0.5L of water per flush
  • City-dressing without a year, so it can be reused year after year
  • Focus on plant-based food and local vegetables

The 6 practical ones

Transportation & Parking
  • Use bicycles, trains, buses – and check trafikinfo.dk for information about closures
  • Never park on the route – find alternative options well in advance
Waste
    • Take your rubbish with you if there are no bins nearby
    • Sort correctly and help us keep the area clean
Mobile & streaming
      • Take pictures – but not out of the way!
      • Think about safety – and save CO2 by leaving your mobile phone in your pocket and using our big screens instead
Bicycle parking
By the roadside
          • Stay on your side and behind the verge – especially as the race approaches
          • Hold on to children and loose objects – and the dog on a leash!
          • Never stand beyond barriers or bicycle fences
Cordons and safety
            • Respect barriers – even when riders are not coming
            • Follow instructions from officials – it’s about everyone’s safety
