The world’s first cargo bike caravan will be part of Copenhagen Sprint 2026

When Copenhagen Sprint returns in 2026, it will be with a new and different feature on the circuit in Copenhagen. As a counterpart to the Tour de France’s well-known advertising caravan, the race launches the world’s first cargo bike caravan.

The caravan will move around the final circuit in Copenhagen and drive ahead of the riders. Here, the race’s partners will create an atmosphere with music and distribution of merchandise to the audience.

A new way to experience bike racing
The cargo bike caravan is one of the new initiatives that will help develop Copenhagen Sprint as more than a bike race.

Inspired by the Tour de France, the concept has been rethought for a Copenhagen context, where the bicycle – and especially the cargo bike – is a natural part of the cityscape.

“We are constantly working to develop Copenhagen Sprint, so that, in addition to being a sporting highlight, it is also an experience for those who stand along the route. This year, we are launching the world’s first cargo bike caravan on the circuit in Copenhagen,” says Director of Copenhagen Sprint, Tobias Hoff, and adds:

“Where the Tour de France uses cars, we have chosen to do it on cargo bikes. It fits naturally with the cycling city of Copenhagen, and we hope that it provides a different and more present experience for the audience.”
